This User Agreement ("Agreement") governs your access to and use of Skill Ready Techs (the "Platform"). By creating an account, you agree to these terms.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Registering as either a Technician or an Employer, you agree to provide accurate information and to keep your profile up to date.
Training modules and the skill verification exam are provided to help technicians demonstrate HVACR knowledge. A passing score reflects performance on our knowledge assessment at the time it was taken - it does not replace, and is not equivalent to, any government-issued license or certification (such as EPA 608) required to legally perform certain work.
You agree not to cheat, share exam answers, use unauthorized assistance, or attempt to manipulate scoring during the exam. We may reset, invalidate, or revoke a Tech Verified Card obtained through a violation of this section.
Where you request EPA 608 verification, you authorize us to review the photo of your physical card that you upload; a Skill Ready Techs administrator manually inspects that photo and approves or rejects the submission. There is no central EPA 608 registry we or anyone else can query - certification is issued by dozens of separately EPA-approved organizations, each holding only its own records - so this review is a human check of your submitted photo, not an automated database lookup. You confirm that any card you submit is your own and that the information on it is accurate. Uploaded certificates you don't request verification for (such as OSHA 10, A2L, or NATE) are displayed as self-reported / on file and are not independently verified by the Platform unless you request it.
Employers may search, view, and contact technician profiles in accordance with their subscription plan. Employers agree to use technician information only for legitimate hiring purposes and not to resell, scrape, or redistribute technician data.
Technician accounts are free, with an optional paid Pro upgrade. Employer subscription plans (Starter, Professional, or a custom Enterprise agreement) are billed as described at checkout and may be canceled at any time from your account settings; fees already billed are non-refundable except as required by law.
The Platform is provided "as is." A verified profile, passing exam score, or Tech Verified Card reflects performance on our assessments and, where applicable, the result of an administrator's manual review of a submitted credential photo at a point in time - it is not a guarantee of a technician's future job performance, and employers remain responsible for their own hiring decisions.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Skill Ready Techs is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this Agreement. You may close your account at any time from your Profile page.
We may update this Agreement from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
