This Disclaimer explains, in plain terms, what Skill Ready Techs (the "Platform") actually does and does not provide to Technicians and Employers. It supplements, and does not replace, our User Agreement and Privacy Policy. Where this page and those documents conflict, the User Agreement controls.

1. What Skill Ready Techs Is

Skill Ready Techs is a credential-verification and knowledge-testing service for the HVACR industry, paired with a marketplace that lets verified technicians and employers find and message each other. We do two things, and only two things: we verify submitted EPA 608 cards through manual administrator review, and we test HVACR knowledge with the Skill Ready Techs Competency Exam. Everything else on the Platform - training modules, resources, messaging, search - exists to support those two functions.

2. What We Offer Technicians

• A knowledge-verification exam and optional exam-prep study modules, with a shareable Tech Verified Card generated from your results.
• Manual, human review of a photo of your physical EPA 608 card by a Skill Ready Techs administrator, and a place to list other self-reported credentials (OSHA 10, A2L, NATE, and similar).
• A searchable profile that employers using the Platform can find, view, and message.

3. What We Do Not Offer Technicians

• We are not a trade school, apprenticeship program, or accredited training provider, and we do not train technicians from scratch. Our exam-prep modules are a study aid, not a curriculum, and a passing score is not a license, degree, or government credential.
• We do not guarantee that any technician will be contacted, interviewed, or hired by any employer, or that a given job opportunity, wage, or working condition will materialize.
• We are not a staffing agency, employer of record, or party to any employment relationship formed between a technician and an employer - see Section 5.
• We do not verify credentials other than EPA 608 (when review is requested). Other uploaded certifications are shown as self-reported / on file and are not independently confirmed by us.

4. What We Offer Employers, and What We Do Not

Employers get search and messaging access to technician profiles, filtered by verified credentials, self-reported skills, and Competency Exam results, under the plan they subscribe to.

We do not recruit, screen references, run background checks, verify work authorization, or make any hiring recommendation - employers are solely responsible for their own hiring decisions, including confirming any license, certification, or legal requirement that applies to the work being performed, independent of anything shown on the Platform. We do not guarantee the accuracy, availability, or quality of any technician's self-reported information beyond what an administrator has specifically marked as verified.

5. No Employment Relationship

Skill Ready Techs is not an employer, joint employer, agent, or party to any employment, contracting, or engagement relationship formed between a technician and an employer. We do not set wages, supervise work, or control the terms of any job. Any hire, contract, or working relationship is solely between the technician and the employer involved.

6. Credential Verification Has Limits

There is no central EPA 608 registry that we, or anyone else, can query automatically. EPA 608 verification on this Platform means a Skill Ready Techs administrator manually reviewed a photo of a physical card submitted by the technician and made a good-faith determination of its authenticity. This is a manual photo review, not a live database lookup, not a legal opinion, and not a guarantee that a card is genuine, current, or has not been altered. Employers remain responsible for independently confirming any credential where it matters to a hiring or compliance decision.

7. Not Legal, Financial, or Safety Advice

Nothing on the Platform - including resource links, industry news items, exam content, or Platform staff communications - constitutes legal, financial, tax, safety, or professional advice. Regulatory and safety information (EPA, OSHA, refrigerant handling, and similar) changes over time; always confirm current requirements with the issuing authority or a qualified professional before relying on them.

8. Third-Party Content

Resource links and training videos on the Platform point to or are produced by independent third parties (government agencies, industry associations, manufacturers, and individual trainers). We do not control, endorse, or guarantee the accuracy of that third-party content, and it does not reflect the views of Skill Ready Techs.

9. Payments

Subscription fees and exam retake fees are described at checkout and in Admin-configured pricing. Subscriptions can be canceled at any time from your account; canceling stops future billing but does not refund amounts already charged, except as required by law. 10. Limitation of Liability

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Skill Ready Techs disclaims liability for hiring outcomes, employment disputes, credential inaccuracies not caught during manual review, third-party content, or any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Platform. See Sections 7-8 of our User Agreement for the full terms.

11. Changes to This Disclaimer

We may update this Disclaimer from time to time as the Platform's features change. We will post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date.
