1. Information We Collect

Account information: name, email address, phone number, password, and role (technician or employer) when you register.

Technician profile information: skills, specialties, years of experience, expected salary range, availability status, bio/self-description, preferred contact channels (phone, email, LinkedIn, etc.), training progress, exam scores (held for your own account, not published to employers), and uploaded or verified credentials (EPA 608, OSHA 10, A2L, NATE, and similar).

Employer information: company name, billing information for premium subscriptions, and search/contact activity within the Platform.

Usage data: pages visited, features used, and device/browser information collected automatically to help us operate and improve the Platform.

2. How We Use Information

• To create and maintain your account and profile.
• To deliver training content, administer the skill verification exam, and issue Tech Verified Cards.
• To let employers search for and connect with technicians who have completed knowledge verification.
• To review submitted credentials, where you've asked us to - for EPA 608, this means an administrator manually inspects the photo of your card you upload; there is no central EPA 608 registry for us or anyone else to query.
• To communicate with you about your account, exam results, and platform updates.
• To maintain the security and integrity of the Platform, including preventing exam fraud.

3. How We Share Information

Technician profile information you choose to make visible (skills, verified credentials, experience, bio, contact preferences, salary expectations, and availability) is shared with employers using the Platform's search and hiring tools. Your exam results are not: employers are shown only whether you have passed the Skill Verification Exam, never your score or a breakdown of your answers. We do not sell your personal information to third parties for advertising purposes.

Where a technician requests EPA 608 verification, the card photo and related profile information (such as name) is visible only to Skill Ready Techs administrators performing that manual review - it is not shared with any external registry or third-party verification service, since no such central EPA 608 registry exists.

We may share information with service providers who help us operate the Platform (hosting, payment processing, communications), and as required by law. Employer subscription payments are processed by Stripe on Stripe's own secure checkout page; we never see or store full card numbers.

We may use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Platform (for example, which pages are visited and whether sign-ups and checkouts complete). Google Analytics uses cookies and receives information such as your approximate location, device and browser type, and the pages you view. We do not send your name, email address, phone number, or message content to Google. Where we ask for your consent first, analytics cookies are only set if you choose Accept. You can also opt out using Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

4. Your Choices

• You control what appears on your public technician profile.
• You can update or remove your contact channels, bio, salary range, and availability status at any time from your Profile page.
• You may request account deletion using the Danger Zone option on your Profile page, or by contacting us.

5. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. No system is perfectly secure, and we encourage you to use a strong, unique password.

6. Data Retention

We retain account and profile information for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

7. Children's Privacy

The Platform is intended for working professionals and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date.
